Third time here with the family and I decided to write a review for their excellent service. I've been to a few Krispy Kreme stores and this was the first one that gave every customer a free original glazed donut. We came in and they gave us 4 free donuts, one for each of us. We proceeded to sit down and order 2 large cups of coffee, and they told us that they were going to brew a fresh batch of coffee. Great! We decided to buy 4 more original glazed donuts after a while and the lady at the counter said that those were on the house too! Because apparently, they made us wait 5 minutes for our coffee. I'd give them 6 stars for service if I could. P.S. Donuts were good as usual.

+ Friendly service, good selection of donuts - Original glazed donuts have strange texture Went here tonight for a some hot original glazed. They seem to have the hot sign on around 5:00pm each evening for a few hours. As you walk in, they hand you a free

Driving back and forth from work and I never was able to catch the "Hot Now" free donut until today! Now I know what everyone is raving about! The donuts are soft and pillowy and taste like melting cotton candy straight from the spinner! When you see that sign you can stop and get an Original Glazed donut for free! Even when the sign isn't on stopping by and surprising the staff with donuts during the busy season is a great idea! I like the chocolate creme filled and the crullers; others like the chocolate or the jelly filled. Everyone has a favorite and since you can't get fresh Krispy Kremes everywhere they are always loved!

This was my first visit to Krispy Kreme, and I was very pleased! I had no idea about the hot light, and was shocked when i was handed a free donut upon entering. The location was clean and the employees were friendly. We ended up buying two dozen donuts that night. Free Krispy Kreme donut=Happiness!

My fave doughnuts in the area. Getting them here is the only way to go, do not waste your time at the grocery store. They do not carry all the varieties featured on the website but enough that you will surely not be disappointed. My faves are the kreme filled glazed. The glaze is enough to induce a sugar coma but adding kreme makes it over the top delicious. Truly a delight. My husband likes kreme filled too but he prefers the chocolate topped ones. I would do chocolate over the glaze but I am not giving up the glaze and my dream option is not available. I cannot indulge too much so I nearly always stick with my fave but the other varieties look delicious and other people seem happy with them. If you have any kind of a wait in here or you look especially drooly they will give you a free plain glazed doughnut. Yum. They also have a deal fairly often when you buy a dozen doughnuts you can get a dozen of the plain glazed for a mere 1.99 more. Yep they are that evil, I usually pass on the guilt and take em to work or send them to my husband's poor minions. If you want the best example of true Krispy Kreme heaven it is only found in one of their retail stores, the rest is pale imitation.

There are only a two items that I will eat regularly in my car: a Krispy Kreme doughnut and hot McDonald's fries. It has been close to a decade since I happened upon a Krispy Kreme stand-alone location and thus close to a decade since I've had a Krispy Kreme. Today, the sign was lit, signaling that a new batch of doughnuts has been born, and I just had to detour. Thank you traffic jam for altering my commute home. The sweet, hot doughnut melted in my mouth. I didn't even make it to my car before this little handful of deliciousness was gone. The treat made the longer trip home a-okay.

I think the most amazing thing about this place is the fact that you see the donuts being made right in front of your face with their machinery assembly line. Another great thing is the free hot donut you get just for walking in and that was a great thing in itself. For my actual (paid) donut i got a cookie and creme donut (good, should of got the yellow creme filled instead of the cake style). Overall i was never really i big fan of Krispy Kreme donuts until i had that hot fresh glazed donut, now i am trying to repair years of neglect on my part on Krispy Kreme cause these are real good (still love my mom and pops bakery donuts better).

I will cross over several lanes of Southfield Rd. when the "HOT NOW" light is on for that FRESH, free doughnut. I mean it's literally right off the rack, straight from the machine. Well, not really... I don't want to cause an accident, so I'll make sure I'm already in the far right lane heading towards Krispy Kreme. I've never really tried KK until very recently. I'm a fan of any other place's glazed doughnut, but when my friend told me you get a FREE doughnut when the "HOT NOW" light is on, i tried it out. Sure enough, when the light is on, I walk in (free doughnut on walk ins only) and get a FREE doughnut handed to me. Just like that! It's delicious... warm, fresh, gooey. I can't say I'm a fan, though, of the doughnut if it's not warm and fresh. That gooeyness (I think I just made that up) just hardens and cakes on even more sweetness. I'd highly recommend stopping in when the light is on. My gift to you.

Yummy donuts, a little pricey, friendly but confused service. Funny to recall how hardcore this place dominated the scene when it first made its appearance. Spreading themselves thin and over-producing their chain fronts, they're now responsible for massive layoffs in at least two countries (though I wonder if any of the Canadian branches lasted... I haven't seen one in Toronto for some time now). Oh yes, the donuts. These are not my favorite donuts in the land, but they are effin tasty. More sugary than a pixie stick, these little numbers are diabetic kryptonite. Once in a blue blue moon, I like to indulge. Recently, I stopped into this Allen Park location (not anywhere near my house, but much closer than the Troy outlet, which i THINK are the only two within Metro), cuz I promised a group of people I'd bring in some Krispy Kremes. I needed a dozen. I ordered six glazed (their prize-winners) and six of an assortment of others. THEN, i ordered one of their giant party-sized coffee dispensers. They said it came with free cups, sugar, cream, napkins, stir sticks - all aces! - and ALSO it came with a dozen free glazed donuts. I told the server that since I already have 6 glazed in my box, could she just give me 6 more and only charge me for the 6 ASSORTED OTHERS in my original box, since i didn't NEED 24 donuts, but I didn't want to bother putting back the 6 assorted. She was confused and told me that i get 12 for free. Yes, i know! I already have 6 glazed in my box, give me 6 more glazed and just charge me for the 6 assorted. She was still confused so called over her manager. I went through the EXACT SAME Laurel & Hardy act with the manager. ONLY because I was severely late for my meeting and leaving without the donuts was not an option on this occasion, I told them to hurry on with the additional 12 and cash me out. So, i ended up with waaaay more donuts then i needed... 24 krispy kremes for a party of 8 is absurd... BUT, on the other hand, they are effin tasty. yummm.

Come on, how can you not rate Krispy Kreme at 5 stars? Anyway, I stop in here every so often while on my way to my first stop of the day for work to get some coffee. I always appreciate the free glazed hot donut right off the line that they give me each time. I decided today to try their limited time "Caramel Coffee Kreme Doughnut". Folks, you've got to try this as many times as possible before they stop selling it. It is a glazed donut topped with caramel and coffee flavored icing, and the donut hole is filled with some sort of coffee flavored creme. Nice job!
